A reefer with an addiction

Simply put, I am a reefer with an addiction. I started in this hobby 10 years ago with a quarter-sized dog face puffer that lived a great life in my 30 gallon bio cube. As time passed, I grew more and more interested in the hobby and the addiction eventually expanded into what it is today.

For years, I’ve kept different kinds of tanks, with long hours spent battling outbreaks and perimeter swings. I’ve decided to take my passion to another level by opening my knowledge and products to all of you. With over 2,000 gallons of water in our grow out for coral alone, my family wants to focus on bringing you the most beautiful, brightly-colored, high-quality coral that will enable you to enjoy them as much as we do.

In 2018, my wife and I had a beautiful baby girl (Savi) that changed our lives; we had to adapt to an entirely new schedule and lifestyle. We learned that Savi had some issues that wouldn't allow her to stay in normal child care while my wife worked a full-time job. With my wife, Megan, my son, Jake, and daughter, Savi by my side, I began selling coral to make extra income for the family. Doing this brought us together, helped save our home and kept us together as a family. Today our display tank unites the family, allowing us to spend time together watching the mysteries of the ocean.

Tyler's Tanks started as a nickname given to me by local forums that soon became a brand. My family has worked together to build it so we can all enjoy the hobby together.

I want to thank everyone that has stopped by and supported my family’s passion.
